The parents in the Cerra v. Pawling School District case sought tuition reimbursement
for a private special education school as the remedy for the IEP allegedly not providing
FAPE. This remedy and others are discussed in subsequent chapters of this book. What
should the remedy be if a court or hearing officer determines that an IEP is not
reasonably calculated to provide FAPE? How would that remedy be carried out?
