The "other" is an identity that is defined in relation to, rather than, an opposite to another identity.  In other words, one only knows what they are because they also know what they are not.  The "othering" of a person or a group can make one feel like they're second-class, or, not on the same equal footing, or, not part of the "center." How can we change the "other"-ing (what they are not) of people and/or communities?
