Overview of the Case
Ticket fixing refers to the practice of the incident in which the public officials destroy a pending traffic ticket in favor of a friend or a family member. The N
ew York Police Department face a scandal in which the police officers were accused of having ties with the drug dealer. This particular incident has been a scandal that was unfolded in the media where there were reported multiple internal leaks within the New York police department in various investigations. It was also found that around 664 incidents were helped by the prosecutors that might rest too heavily on the officers and these ties to the scandal raised questions about the conduct and the credibility of NYPD.

A number of NYPD officers were involved in the scandal and it was deliberated about 17 officers have been indicted throughout the investigation. As many as 400 New York Police Department officers were engaged in the scandal since 1993. The internal investigations in 2008 reportedly found that more than 600 Police officers were engaged in illegal activities behind closed doors.
