The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Inventory is a commonly used tool to indicate the core personality traits of individuals and are broken down into 4 components: How you interact with others (introvert or extravert); how you process information (sensing or intuitive); how you make decisions (thinking or feeling); and the structure you prefer to work in (judging or perceiving).  The MBTI was administered to 375 couples to ask whether people tend to marry people with the same or different personality types.
