The marking rubric • The Guideline • Part 1 Health Assessment documentation • Part 2 Health assessment interview summary and critique The marking rubric provides you with important information on how your work will be marked and includes the word count required for each section of the Assessment. Please read it carefully. The guideline provides you with clear instructions of the Assessment. It provides you with information on how to proceed through the assessment. The health assessment documentation is the document you will complete whilst listening to the video of your particular patient's interview, which you will find it in the guidline. Remember - make sure that you use correct medical terminology. For example if you patient states they had a "heart attack", then your assessment would state "Myocardial Infarction". Ensure that you write the medication names and medical terminology correctly. If you feel the interviewer forgot to ask something or didn't ask the right questions, then make a note of this. This information will be helpful in the second part of the assessment. Any sections of the health assessment that aren't covered in the interview need to be clearly identified - i.e. "not asked by interviewer" If it is something which is clearly not applicable - i.e. pregnancy in a 75 year old man - then it is acceptable to use the abbreviation "n/a". The health assessment summary and interview critique is the second document you must complete. It is fairly self explanatory - just complete each section as instructed. In this section you will be reflecting on - • Erikson's stages of psychosocial development • Age-related physical development changes • Anatomy and physiology You will then reflect on what you have learned from this process.
