Change is something that comes with due course of time with the ensuing years when a person learns about his or her shortcomings. These shortcomings can be of varied sorts dependin
g upon the person. However, it is important to take self-care for ensuring a balance between physical as well as mental health. It is to be done not by being submissive to the ethos of the societal doctrines which are otherwise baseless and void. For me, it has been important that the core principle concerning the implementation of a healthy behavior change can be undertaken by ensuring a proper healthy choice that has to be an easy choice (Tengland, 2016). I have functional in the maintenance of a level of discipline of concerning my eating smarter and eventually I have adhered to a regular exercise training program. However, I have realized I was accustomed to an eating habit that involved all the foods that appeared to be cheap. I was also not into the consumption of healthy food, which I found to be absolutely tacky. I used to eat a lot of Junk food as well as candies to satiate my appetite.
The basic diet which should be adhered to on a regular basis cannot be such that it includes all junk foods. Therefore, I should have kept in mind when I wants to lead a healthy life thereby pertaining to the standards of satisfaction (Meichenbaum, 2017). There has always been a thing regarding the aim to attain good health which depends on the willingness of individuals for implementation of change in his/her daily life. So the poor eating habits which were embedded deep within me were in need to be discarded. When I acknowledged this fact way back in 5 years, I realized that this eating habit of mine definitely needs a change. I kept utilizing Kotter’s 8 stage process in the regulation of my diet. I did that unknowing of course where I thought that it should be conglomerated in the formation of a healthy and clean diet. Tangney et al. (2018) In the end, it all comes down to the behavioral design ultimately helps people in finding the appropriate tools as well as the tactics for undertaking changes that will be healthy.
I have made effective usage of the eight-stage process developed by Dr. Kotter's which I have to come to realize are salient for maintaining a proper healthy lifestyle but I did these unknowingly. Here are his eight steps to leading transformation:
1. Creation of a sense of urgency. This is effective in the respect as I have felt that having driven out of my comfort zone I am able to undergo the change in a better way.
