The growth of population is a major concern in the world today. Population growth is basically the increase in individual’s number in any population which has been increasing to around 83 million annually. Reasons for this growth includes high fertility rates in some of the ethnic groups, number of young married mothers, inadequate birth control provision and sexual education. Another reasons for this growing population is decreased death rates as well as increase in average human age specifically (Keyfitz, 1971).
