The Friendly Finance Company, 311 W. Main Street, was burglarized sometime last night. The manager, Harold Gold, reported the loss to city police this morning. Investigators found evidence that burglars entered the office through a ventilating shaft in the roof, cut a hole in the ceiling, and then broke into the safe. The reported loss: $800 in bills, $225 in coin, and $8,350 in checks. The loss was estimated by Gold.
