The following exercises are based on the instructional analysis and strategy of main step 5, “Prescribe best sentence type(s) to introduce and develop each main point,” presented in Appendices C , F , and G . The target population is sixth-grade students who are average and above average in writing skills. For a field trial formative evaluation, consider the questions and identify decisions you would make based on the purposes of the evaluation, the nature of the instruction, and the target population.
