The following data is based upon the results from the Granite State Poll made available on October 19th, 2020. The poll asked respondents about how stressed they were on a scale of 1 through 10 (10 being most stressed) regarding certain events in 2020.
According to the survey, 43% of the 930 respondents (New Hampshire residents) answered 7 or greater when asked how stressed they were about Covid-19. Use this information to answer each part below.
(a) Write out the formula you should use and calculate the 95% margin of error for the proportion of all New Hampshire residents that would answer a 7 or greater for their stress level about Covid-19.
(b) Find the 95% confidence interval for the proportion of all New Hampshire residents that would answer a 7 or greater for their stress level about Covid-19.
(c) Based upon your previous results, are you 95% confident that the majority of New Hampshire residents would answer 7 or greater for their stress level about Covid-19.
