The extra credit for this course requires the student to go out to the Internet and look up a series of talks called “Ted Talks.” The link for these talks is provided:

Once the student is at this website, the student is to look up any talk of interest to the student.
Once the student has found a talk he/she is interested, the student much watch the video (minimum of 10 minutes long) and write a paper that addresses the following within 500 words:
1- What was the video about?
2- What did the student learn when watching the video?
3- Were there any new ideas the student can use based on what the person in the video was discussing?
4- Does the student agree with the speaker?
All video submissions must be submitted to the dropbox before the deadline. Any extra credit submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Students may complete a maximum of 2 TED talks/papers. Each TED talk is worth 5 bonus points added to one of the first 3 exams. In total, 10 points may be applied to any test; however, no bonus points may be applied to the final.
Be sure to provide the link for the TED talk at the end of the paper so I can review the video as well. If there are any questions about the extra credit opportunity, please let me know.
