Financial Modelling BUSI3440 Final Exam Instructions 40% of Final Grade April 23rd, 2021, 12pm (noon) via Canvas The Final Exam is designed as a quiz, just like the midterm. There will be no lockdown browser. Basic Templates will be posted in the Final Exam Information Module 20 minutes before the exam start time. You can add lines to the templates as required to build your models. After you open the quiz, copy and past the questions to your computer so you can use them as you build your financial models in excel files offline. Some questions will have links in the questions to Excel Templates which contain data which you can use to build your models. You can close the quiz, work on your models, and then reopen the quiz when you are ready to submit your excel answer files. Students must use the excel features to answer the questions and submit one excel file for each question. The Python question will require you to code in Python and you can submit either the .py file or .txt file. You must not submit the quiz until after you have uploaded your answer files. The excel files MUST clearly identify the Question number in Cell A1. Example Q1 Version 1, or Q1 Version 2, etc. Marks will be deducted is this is not done. The Final Exam opens at 12:00pm on April 23rd, and due at 2:45pm. 75% of marks are for the problem solving 25% of marks are for the presentation There is a total of 4 Excel modelling questions plus one Python question. For each excel modelling questions you will be asked to develop a financial model from scratch to solve the problem in the question. Students are not permitted to copy information, formulas, functions etc. from any file except the exam question and exam template files. The final exam is a cumulative exam and will have questions from any chapter we have covered this year. Some of the concepts we covered in the second half of the year directly relate to concepts we covered in the first half. Important Learning objectives and functions that we have covered in the course are listed in the text at the beginning of each chapter.
