The engine in Problem 1 is converted to throttle body fuel injection with the fuel injected at the inlet end of the manifold. Forty percent of the fuel evaporates in the intake manifold runners, which cools the air by evaporative cooling. Wall temperatures remain the same.
Calculate:
(a) Temperature of the air entering cylinder #1 if the fuel is stoichiometric gasoline. [°C]
(b) Temperature of the air entering cylinder #1 if the fuel is stoichiometric ethanol. [°C]
