The energy-price sensitivity diagram, Figure 14.2, was made with data that were current at the time this book went to press. Material prices fluctuate, and data for embodied energies are continually being refined; annual updates for both appear in the CES Edu database. Use the current version of the software to reproduce the diagram, taking the price of energy to be $0.01/MJ. To do so, use the Advanced facility to plot the ratio of the cost of the embodied energy for a material divided by its price on the y-axis:
