Project: The purpose of this research project is to develop various methods and techniques that we can employ or potentially use the Robotic Unit throughout a College Campus. Research Paper Contents: 1. Write a research paper and cite your references. a. Your research paper needs to include: i. Need one item from Category A ii. Need one item from Category B iii. Need one item from Category C b. Need to generate new ideas and uses. 2. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation on your findings. 3. Start by using the links* below: Potential tasks to research: Category A 1. Taking attendance – Can students enter a code or their student id? 2. How to get (little pictures (in the corner of the screen) so students can see what I see)? 3. Attach a flyer to advertise (i.e., for career day) 4. If a student is in the hospital, can use an iPad to control the unit in the classroom and not miss any lecture/lab time. Category B 1. During Orientation or the first week – help direct students new to LSC-UP? 2. Guest lecturer or speaker If the speaker is at the same class time, a robot can be added to the class in order to view the lecturer. 3. Proctor exams Category C 1. New ideas and new uses? 2. When you introduce a new idea or use for the robot, please describe how you will implement this idea or include procedures for installing this idea on the robot.
