Narrative/Descriptive Essay:Tell a nonfiction story that includes descriptions, for example, of people, places, and/or things involved in the narrative. As a model of such an essay, “Fish Cheeks” by Amy Tan in the Bedford Reader is a good example of a finely paced narrative that uses descriptions to excellent effect.
