The course project flows fromWeek 1throughWeek 5. The course project assignments are based on the development of a policies and procedures manual for a hypothetical or actual organization.

The hypothetical organization could be an organization you hope or plan to start someday. An actual organization could range from a small sole proprietorship to a large multinational corporation. The process of developing the policies and procedures manual will motivate you to integrate the concepts, processes, and techniques learned from week to week. If you do not have the work experience, interview someone who does.

You will progressively apply the concepts and theories learned from the course through a series of weekly deliverables, culminating in a comprehensive final product submitted at the end of the course.

You will analyze whether the policies and procedures manual is for a service, merchandising, or manufacturing organization. You will include potential local, regional, national, and international transactions and events.

Tasks:

• Create a memorandum to a supervisor explaining the need for a policies and procedures manual.




• Describe the policies and procedures that exist in your organization.




• Examine accounting information systems as well as internal and external auditing basics, such as authorizations, approvals, reconciliations, risks, and controls.

Submission Details:

• Present your memo as a 3- to 5-page report in a Microsoft Word document formatted in APA style.
