    Crime triangle is also known as problem analysis tr
iangle. It is a model, which is used to understand the recurring issue of crimes. The problem analysis triangle is developed from the routine activity theory. As mentioned by Santos (2016), according to the routine activity theory, the crime to occur required three main conditions, which is offender, suitable target, time, and place. This means crime occurs when likely criminal and suitable target meet in the same place at same time, in the absence of the guardian of the target.
This theory takes the existence of the likely offender as for granted because simple human greed or their selfishness become enough motivating factor for the commitment of the crime. The inanimate target and human victims are not kept as distinct actor as both fulfil the purpose of the offender (Arizona State University, 2019). The capable guardian was considered as either human actor or security device.
