Reflective 3   For this Module you need to reflect on the Communication in the Organisation and apply the theory and principles we looked at in the content for this Module. When completing your journal reflection, be sure to carefully reflect on how these topics apply to your workplace, and yourself. I have made some recommendations below on the resources you may want to apply for each of the discussion topics for this module.   · The communication channels engaged by the organisation and its effectiveness Recommendation: Use the Samson & Daft (2015) resource provided in the Module’s learning resources and find information in your workplace for the three business channels and evaluate whether the organisation uses these channels effectively. · Identification of company communication barriers and its solutions Recommendation: Use the Cole (2016) resource to find application for the communication process, the communication barriers present in your organisation and with solutions on overcoming those barriers. · The role of body language in the specific work environment Recommendation: Use the Mind Tools. (2017) resource to investigate what body language is, the Cole (2016) resource also includes very useful information on this topic. · Analyses of the workplace’s intercultural communication Recommendation: The Molinsky (2013) video includes good application for reflection on our own comfort zone and the new culture’s zone of appropriateness. · And how well you yourself are communicating and learning etc. Don’t forget to reflect on your own communication in the organisation, you can incorporate your own role and performance in most of these topics above. This is an important element and part of your grade.   Important Notes:   · It is important to carefully study the Learning Resources before you complete your reflection. · Incorporate examples from your workplace to support your reflection. · Be sure to apply the studied theory/principles/ideas directly to your workplace and to diligently reference your work. It has to be clear form your reflection that you have used the sources we studied to inform your analyses and conclusions. · Try to use the correct terminology and academic language used in the readings when discussing the components.
