The client on replacement therapy with levothyroxine (Synthroid) reports feeling nervous and is having palpitations and tremors. The nurse recognizes that the reason for these symptoms is that the client:
1. Is experiencing normal adverse effects of therapy.
2. Now has normal thyroid function and the Synthroid is no longer needed.
3. Has developed a pituitary disorder and needs further evaluation.
4. Is experiencing a hyperthyroid state and the medication dosage needs adjustment.
