The conditions for the occupied and unoccupied periods are the same as in problem 13.1. The degradation factor due to cycling of the heat pump is 0.25. Calculate (i) the heat pump balance temperatures, (ii) the electrical energy input to the heat pump, and (iii) the auxiliary energy input required, for the occupied and unoccupied periods.
