Impact of Increased Population on Natural Disaster and its Effects on People
Now for mankind immense population growth and uncontrolled augmentation of the human population is creating an intimidating trouble and it is also creating new avenues for natural disaster. Several types of natural disasters are taking place due to this and in several natural pandemics many people are losing their lives. The increase of the population is not only a disaster threat that is creating natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions or anything else. Apart from this it is also creating disorders in demographic and socio-economic threats. Now in this section the impacts of increased population on natural disasters and its effect on people will be illustrated.
Firstly, it is to be mentioned here that overpopulation is leading to climate change as a result of natural disasters like earthquakes, wildfires, cyclones and several disasters that are taking place that are creating a negative impact on society (Alexander).
Secondly, Unfathomable population increase is creating different types of pollution effects that are noise pollution, water pollution, air pollution and sound pollution also. This is creating disorder in the environment as it is negatively impacting the ecosystem and ecological balance. This is affecting both the environment and the mankind parallel.
Thirdly, as population is rampantly increasing, thus for the purpose of allocation of shelters, deforestation activities are taking place, that is destroying the greenery. This is paving the avenue of several natural disasters. As a result it is prone to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are intensified (Shultz).
Fourthly, due to increased population, the prospect of water pollution is increasing a lot which is harmful for the water life animals. In addition to this environmental problem, the propensity of coastal cyclones is also becoming a threat for mankind and human life.
To conclude this section, it is warranted by exigency that the rampant increasing population has a direct impact on the natural disasters that are happening now-a-days in a very short interval. This is also affecting human beings as in every natural disaster, be it earthquake, cyclone, floods or any other type of cyclone, it is directly perilous for human life as it leads to loss of lives and properties.
