1. The Greenland ice sheet has lost around 3.8 tons of ice from 1992 to 2018. This
is supported by the research from National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA). The study
consists of 26 independent satellite datasets which monitors the effect of global
warming on Greenland. The study also forecasts an approximate 3-5 inches of
rise in global sea level by 2100 if the rate of melting continues as such. The study
was published in Nature and is a joint work of 89 polar scientists backed by
NASA and ESA. The Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-comparison Exercise, or
IMBIE, used well-calibrated data from 13 NASA and ESA satellite missions to
create the most accurate measurements of ice loss to date. The study is cited
