The Assignment:In a 3-4 page paper (double space, 12 font), expand on the following to analyze the relational conflict. Examine the situation as if you were to do it again, aiming for successful communication using the skills you’ve learned about listening in this course.

  1. Describe a real-life interpersonal communication challenge/conflict from your own life that you are going to analyze for this paper.

  2. Explain how the communication challenge/conflict is a result of ineffective interpersonal communication.

  3. Describe methods/theory for improving the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in the conflict you’ve described. Think of this as advice you would give to yourself if you were to go back and act out the situation again.

  4. Conclude your paper with an explanation of what you have come to understand about the listening process.

  5. Be sure to use at least three outside resources.Do not use “.com” sites as sources. Use EBSCO Host or some other academic database for your research. Cite your sources within the text of your paper (internal citation). Also, attach your references at the end of the paper in a Bibliography. Use MLA or APA style.

  6. Use the rubric (located under paper dropbox& Rubric) to meet the requirements of the paper.

** Keep in mind that the goal of the paper is to demonstrate how much of the textbook information you understand and can apply to your own life.
