1. Key Characteristics of Agricultural Revolutions in Britain
The agricultural revolution was a period of significant agricultural development that is developed by the new farming techniques, which helped in massive increase for the food production. Oakland (2019) further added that agricultural revolution brought the experimental method with new crops and new method of crop rotation. This method provided the soil to replenish nutrients, which helped in better crops production and an increased agricultural output.
Further, the advancement of irrigation and the drainage system increased the productivity largely. The benefits from this improved agricultural revolution helped people a lot by involving more number of people in agricultural sector than ever before. The surplus food production resulted into a dramatic increase in population. Further, the quantity and variety of the farm produced have increased significantly.
2. The Results
The agricultural revolution turned out to be a major turning point for Britain. Allen (2019) has further added that this revolution allowed population to exceed the earlier peaks and sustain the industrial rise of the country. The increase in production has accelerated the decline of the agricultural share of labour force, while adding to the urban workforce, on which the entire industrialization is dependent.
