1.0 Introduction
The self-assessment about own attributes, achievements, behavioural skills and knowledge may be considered to be an integral part of the study life of any student. Such assessment provides an overview as to how one has been performing till date and wants to perform in future. In short, such reflection paves the way to create a own SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) analysis and thereby identify potential flaws within one-self. The instant paper is a reflection of the author which will revolve around what the author has achieved till date, in terms of career progression. Besides, the paper will also present future goals of the author which need to be pursued by the author. In addition, the author also portrays the skill development needs for own-self so that the career planning is efficient and sustainable in the long-run.
The paper has been named as “career Planning Report” and hence, it is prepared in a report format. The discussion has been started by introducing the theme of the paper to the reader. IN the subsequent sections, different points have been discussed under separate headings and sub-headings. Finally, the author concludes the paper through an ending note, wrapping up and summing up the essence of the entire discussion.
2.0 Self-Assessment and Achievements
My name is XXX and I study in Macquarie University, I am pursuing my XXX in Accounting and Finance. As far as my assessment about own career skills is concerned, I would like to present, in brief, my SWOT analysis, as below:
    Strengths
    Weaknesses
    I have always been interested in data crunching and it is my ability area. I am good at mathematics and in school, I used to get good marks in mathematics.
I have good team skill as well. I have been associated, from school days, with various group projects wherein we had to perform a given task in a group. I have been successful in interacting with my peer group members. I think I can gel with my colleagues and group members quite easily and successfully.
I believe that I can present any point well, through speech. I have good speaking power and my English is reasonably good.
    My biggest drawback, in terms of career skill is that I do not have much computer skill. I use smartphone and I have desktop which I use However, I do not have much idea about how to use a Mac. Neither, I can troubleshoot any technical issues, for which my desktop system may not run properly. I cannot create table, graph in MS-Excel, nor, I can use formula functions therein.
In addition, I think that I run the risk of stammering, at times. This primarily happens as nervous breakdown. I have realized that I can give public speech and I do not have stage fright. However, initially, I may lack confidence and start stammering. Once, I am habituated with the environment and surrounding, I get the flow.

    Threats
    The accounting and finance is a dynamic subject and changes regularly. I may focus on a specific niche area of the subject and develop my skill set for that specific field. This approach will give a competitive advantage because of lower competition in that specified niche area.
    Accounting profession has been changing globally. I may not be able to cope up with the latest changes and imbibe them within myself through continuous upgrade initiatives for my skill sets.
The market is extremely competitive and there are lots of students wanting to pursue accounting ad finance. Hence, I may face intense competition from them in the job market as well.

3.0 Articulating My Career Goals
I want to become a Chartered Accountant after passing the relevant examination and acquiring the professional degree from the relevant institutions. I want to join into the corporate world do not want to pursue CA degree as a profession. I have planned to join either in one of Big Four firms (PwC, KPMG, E&Y and Deloitte), or in manufacturing or service firms.
