Textbook:
Frankenstein - Mary Shelley - Norton Critical Edition (2nd)
Sorry, I can't provide the textbook right now.
Each part should be 250+ words and engage in critical thinking and analysis not summary. Your response posts cannot be simple agreement or disagreement.
Part I:
Mary Shelley-FrankensteinVolumes II and III(pages61- 161)
Prompt:
For your discussion board, consider the character of the creature. Analyze his point of view, characterization, and the choices he makes (that Mary Shelley has him make). Is he a monster or is Victor the monster? Or is society the monster? Did he have the ability and understanding to be able to make rational choices? Did he realize what he was doing when he was murdering William and framing Justine? Should he be held accountable for those actions? And if so, how? Are the demands that he makes of Victor justified? Are his threats? Was he really just rejected from society because he was ugly? And was his response to that rejection appropriate and proportional?
Directions:
Your posts should engage with both the reading itself and the additional material about drama from the textbook.
Part II:
reply to the following posts:
I'll post part 2 once the part I get done.
