ve always had a way with dark, gross and macabre. Frankenstein is no different. While Shelley wrote this masterpiece at the mere age of 18, in 1818 at Lord Byron’s house, the implications of the Story is relevant even today. After many retelling from the original version, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein has been morphed into a tale of mystery and horror. As with many of our generations, we have grown up with references from Frankenstein. Be it in books, other pieces of literature, TV series or even movies, many things that is to be described as ugly and horrific is often termed as Frankenstein. Going into the book, my initial thought was that it was going to be a rather horrific tale of a person creating a monster that wreaks havoc on humankind.
