1. The replication crisis is referred to the methodological crisis that occurs when it is very di
fficult to replicate or reproduce the results of many scientific studies in subsequent investigations. In the field of psychology, for a hypothesis to be strengthened and consolidated, it is vital to yield similar results on multiple scientific studies, hence if there are irregularities in the results; it makes the researchers unambiguous about the proposed hypothesis. In order to increase, credibility it is important to have multiple tests confirming similar results.
2. Some of the techniques that are used to study brain are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) which is used to study lesions and abnormalities of the brain.
Optogenetics is a light based technique that involves use of light to control cells in neurons.
3. There are many ways of helping neurogenesis, it is suggested in the video that proper diets that includes blueberries, flavonoids, omega 3 fatty acids, exercise and sleep are extremely beneficial in promoting neurogenesis.
