For example, aptitude tests have some established predictability in terms of who might be successful in a given job or career. Tests of knowledge may be useful in determining who is eligible to practice in a certain vocational capacity, such as a CPA or a licensed engineer. Referencing Russell’s (2010) discussion, analyze the use of assessments of knowledge and skill to determine declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge and skill, and motivation. Analysis of the tests and their implications to the Aptitude Testing:
It is true that the aptitu
de testing can be employed for determining the skill levels of the employees on the job. More specifically they are employed to estimate the skills of the employee in performing the job. Knowledge testing of the candidate is an effective job screening tool, in the sense it will provide a basis to estimate whether the particular candidate will be a suitable candidate for the chosen job or not. Knowledge testing and skills testing of the individual will work to reduce the overall turnover from the job; they will work for better appraisal of the suitability of the skills of the candidate for the current position. Also whether the applicant can fit in the team or not, whether he possess the required attributes to perform in a team can be estimated using the knowledge and skills levels testing of the candidate (Winke,2018).
Both the knowledge as well as the skill levels of the candidate can be assessed by using a range of tools and techniques.
