Team Assignment Objectives:Define both good and bad types of team conflictsUnderstand how positive and negative conflicts impact team synergy and antagonismExplain the different conflicts and their relationship to the four main personality typesPurpose: Student will gain an understanding for how to design and structure project teams to reduce bad conflicts and create synergies through positive energy and alignment.Team Assignment Description: XYZ Corporation has been investigating how positive conflict can increase the overall productivity of a project team. They have asked you to take a new project team and use this methodology in its compilation and execution. The team is comprised of one idealist, two guardian personalities, one artisan, and three rational personalities.Taking what you have learned about the positive and negative conflicts and how to best identify and manage these to reduce the negative conflicts and maximize the positive ones, prepare a team charter that discusses the communications structure, management mechanisms, and roles within the team, process for engaging and outlining the tasks for the team, and feedback process.Make sure you outline how you will leverage synergy and the passive aggressive model in this charter as well. Also include detail around how you would review and monitor for negative conflicts as the team progresses through the project.Parameters: Each student submission should be 2-3 pages in length and include an overview of their charter approach, details to address all of the assignment requirements in the body, a feedback and monitoring process, and an outline for progress for the team. Papers should follow the standard APA 6th edition format and guidelines. Each Team Member MUST submit their copy of the final team submission to receive a grade.
