Task A2. Select two nutrients from table 2 (except energy) that are a priority for you to change (either to decrease or increase) and critically evaluate each of the selected nutrients in relation to why it is a priority to change, in terms of both potential short- and long-term health consequences. Task A3. For each your two chosen nutrients, identify the changes that could be made to your dietary intakes that would enable you to reach the target NRVs for the chosen nutrients.  Be as specific and precise as possible with your suggestions. What factors (dietary and lifestyle) would be barriers to you complying with the suggested changes and achieving the goal intakes?  Also include discussion here of factors that could interfere with the digestion, absorption, storage or excretion of the selected nutrients. (1 ½ page maximum per nutrient).



(Note for Part A above: It may be easier to discuss Task A. and Task B. for each nutrient in turn i.e. if choosing Iodine and Iron as your nutrients, discuss Iodine first addressing Task A. and Task B., followed by Iron addressing Task A. and Task B.).

   Task B2: Select one nutrient from table 3 above to focus on in terms of this student’s intake to promote better health and wellbeing (Ensure you choose a nutrient different from those discussed for yourself in part A). Justify your selection of this nutrient (in terms of the relevant NRV, age/gender/life stage of your student/colleague, factors that may promote/inhibit digestion, absorption, storage or excretion of the chosen nutrient). Provide three strategies for how their dietary intake could be modified (increased or decreased) to achieve the goal intake.  Be as specific and precise as possible with your recommended strategies. (2 pages maximum)
