Task Overview:
This assessment requires students to provide a briefing report as a management consultant on a key global issue in international business management. The report has a maximum length of 4000 words (minimum of 3000 words) (not including references).
Students must selected a topic from the discipline of Cross-Cultural Management. This may include (but not limited to) subjects such as motivating across cultures, cross-cultural leadership, managing culturally diverse teams, cross-cultural negotiation, cross-cultural entrepreneurship, or managing virtual teams across cultures.
Importantly, students must select a topic that has implications for professional practice.
This report should include the following:
1. Introduction
2. Problem/Subject Identification
3. Literature Review
4. Implications for Professional Practices
Starting point
The starting point is to identify a topic of interests. Students are given leeway to chose a topic that is interesting to them personally. If you are unsure about your topic, please discuss it with Dr. White who will provide you with guidance.
Before you select a topic, it is important that you read what is happening in current professional practice and academia. To that end, the following list provides a starting point for your reading. Read extensively and save articles/stories that are interesting to you. Many of these are available via theMacquarie University Library
