Task One: Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement

Using the Guide to the National Quality Standards and Guide to Developing a Quality Improvement Plan complete:
1.    A plan of action on how you would facilitate a self-assessment processes in the service.
2.    A self-assessment for one (1) Quality Area from the National Quality Standards

3.    A Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for the service.
Use the Guide to Developing a Quality Improvement Plan from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority website and the QIP template for this task http://acecqa.gov.au/quality-improvement-plan


Complete a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for the service (use the Guide to developing a Quality Improvement Plan – 4a for this format for task) based on your self-assessment (part a). Include strengths, key improvements sought (identified issue) and improvement plan (at least one (1) goal) for your chosen one (1) quality area.


4.    A discussion and consultation with another educator regarding your Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).  Document an overview of this discussion and reflect on the Quality Improvement Plan process.

5.    An article for the service’s family newsletter detailing your journey of self-assessment and quality improvement for your chosen Quality area.
