Task Details/Description:
Project management knowledge has improved substantially over the years through collaborative
contributions from industries and academia. However, there are still incidents of not achieving time,
cost and quality of projects all across the industries and geographical locations. This task will allow the
students to identify the major causes of project failure and reveal critical success factors.
The students will identify issues and challenges of managing projects, analyse them and suggest
improvement measures using appropriate methodological framework through secondary data sources.
They will submit a report covering the following points – significance of the study, problems being
discussed, objectives / research questions, current knowledge on the problem and its theoretical gaps,
methodology being used to address the research questions, data collection and analysis, discussion
on the findings and contribution to knowledge and conclusion.
