Effect of New Research and Technology on the Changing Interpretation of the Historical Sites
With the emergence of new evidences, varied interpretations are made of the histori
cal objects that are discovered. There are varied ways and approaches in which historical evidence can be interpreted ranging from the evidence found in the sites of Pompeii as well as in the historical sites of Herculaneum. Pompeii and Herculaneum are one of the significant recorded destinations that the archaeologists have exhumed and found about the lifestyle drove by the residents of the Pre-Roman culture.

The remains of those demolished buildings can be seen in the sites of Pompeii. Several interpretations have been associated with the earthquake. On the contrary Alison Cooley stated her views that the earthquake of the 62 A.D has been given more emphasis. It might be that the buildings were demolished in order to carry out the activities of renovation. And it was not the earthquake that had led to the destruction of the buildings.

In the year of 1980, there were 75 victims of Vesuvious were found in the Oplontis that is situated near the historical site of Pompeii. A cast made out of transparent epoxy in place of plaster was created out of remains of the bodies of one of those victims. This casted structure was called the lady of Opointus. In the year of 1994, the lady of Opointus was taken to Australia and a team of medical professionals, headed by Estelle Lazer, had examined the body in order to discover certain new revelations. It was interpreted that the body was of a middle aged woman who belonged to a wealthy family as pieces of gold jewellery...
