Task 1 Report on the approaches and strategies used to measure, monitor and control the incidence of disease





You are employed by the National Health Service in your local community and have been asked to produce a report on current approaches and strategies for monitoring and measuring the incidence of disease. The report should be in three sections as indicated below.


Task 1



Essay on the approaches and strategies used to measure, monitor and control the incidence of disease





Section 1.  Explain the roles of different agencies in identifying levels of health and disease in communities. In this section please be specific and support your explanation with examples.



Section 2.  Explain, using statistical data the epidemiology of one infectious and one non-infectious disease that is widespread in your community



Section 3.  Evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches and strategies to control the incidence of disease in communities
To achieve M2, complex information has been synthesised when explaining the role of different agencies such as international, nationals and local agencies in identifying levels of health and disease in communities.



To achieve D2, substantial activities, projects or investigations have been planned, managed and organised when explaining the relationship between the prevalence of disease and requirements of services to support individuals within the health and social care service provision.
