SUV values can be affected by the presence of motion artefacts in the PET images, so correcting for motion such as that caused by breathing is of interest. A research group has developed a new technique for respiratory motion correction of PET images. PET images have been acquired from 100 patients and SUV values calculated for their tumors. These data are in the file suv_pre_correction.txt. The images were then motion corrected using the new algorithm and the SUV values recalculated. The recalculated values are in the file suv_post_correction.txt. Using MATLAB, read in the data, visualize it and choose and apply an appropriate hypothesis test to determine if the new technique changes the SUV values with 95% confidence
