Suppose the Earth's rotational axis was changed so that its tilt was 80 degrees with respect to its orbital plane.  The tilt is currently 23.5 degrees.

Would the summers in New York be hotter, cooler or the same as they are now?  Explain your answer with reference to each of the three reasons: The angular exposure to sunlight, the duration of daylight and the extent of atmospheric extinction
