You are required to write annotated bibliography (AB) of readings that will form the scholarly foundation of your group's research paper. In preparing your annotated bibliography, you will: Each person should read 6 academic papers in weeks 1-5: Scholarly reading is challenging; check the "eleven problems" list and plan your reading accordingly Academic papers (including peer-reviewed journal articles, papers in conference proceedings, and book chapters) should be read along with newspapers, blogs etc. The focus of this assignment should be on academic papers only. Papers you want to read should be in preparation for your team's research topic Consider your choice of paper carefully Consider the paper carefully Then, fill in the provided template, making sure to answer every question accurately, thoughtfully and in detail but in a concise manner. Share your annotated bibliography work with your group. Your group will work efficiently if each person chooses different but relevant papers to read toward the team research topic. Marking For completing this assignment, each student will write six (6) annotated bibliography (AB) entries. Each annotated bibliography should be roughly 300 words (excluding the instructions). Overall, this assignment should be within 2000 words. See the marking sheet (feedback form) for guidance. Submission format The final submission of the Annotated Bibliography should take the following form: collate your six (6) annotated bibliography entries into a single file (doc/docx format); the file should start with a cover page including a list of readings and your name. there should then be a table of contents, with main headings being the subject categories selected and decided by the group; the annotated bibliography entries should be sorted according to the subject categories. A single doc/docx file should be submitted by each student (i.e. individual submissions). Multiple files will not be marked. What was the paper about?
The authors have attempted to explore the scope of the Blockchain technologies with the Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, there are three major sections of the association of the two technologies that are covered. The first is the benefits that the Blockchain technology can offer to the IoT systems and applications. The next is the drawbacks and challenges that may come up with the integration of the two so that considerations may be taken by the implementation team and the technology experts. The last is the future directions that can emerge as the trends in the days to come. The authors have described IoT as the emerging technology that has begun to capture the markets and offers smart and connected applications to the users. The Blockchain technology is defined as the distributed public ledger that comprises of the linked chain of records which are secured with the medium of encryption and cryptography. The authors have given good background to both these technologies so that the understanding is obtained and the inter-relation can be understood in a better way. The IoT technology is slowly expanding and is being widely recognized. There are some of the security concerns and integration issues associated with IoT. The resolution of the same can be done by the Blockchain applications as described in the research work. The authors have used qualitative exploration of the two technologies to describe the intended benefits and challenges.
Is this paper similar or different to other papers you have read for this assignment? If so, which papers and why? What do these similarities or differences suggest? What are your observations?
There is research work done on the scope of the Blockchain technology with the IoT applications by other research scholars. However, the paper is different from the ones published in the past as it covers the wholesome picture and also includes the future directions for the purpose of research.
How do you envisage this reading contributing to your group’s research paper?
The reading made sure that the group research paper could be prepared accurately as the background as well as detailed information of the two technologies could be obtained.

The authors have used healthcare as the domain to understand the principles and mechanisms which can be taken. The application of IoT in the healthcare field is gradually increased. The patients as well as the medical professionals can witness the IoT applications, such as tele-health applications or smart healthcare apps. The authors have covered the brief information of such usable healthcare apps developed using the IoT technology and have linked them with innumerable advantages that come along. They have also brought up the privacy challenges that are seen with the IoT apps. The risks of privacy attacks with the healthcare applications can have devastating impacts on the associated entities. The authors have then linked the Blockchain networks, especially the private Blockchain mechanisms to promote the privacy of the IoT apps in healthcare.
