subject: Genome editing

you need to findfivesources that pertain to your subject. These sources must come from academic books, professional journals, reliable, scholarly web sites, and/or nationally recognized scientific magazines. You will be provided with an orientation at the library on finding source material. In picking your sources make sure they cover your subject and present different views on the subject. The sources should be thorough and professional in their coverage of the subject.Note: No more than two sources can come from web sites. Also the web site sources must be from professional or educational sites.

Step 2:Compose analphabetical listof the five sources you have chosen. Use the correct MLA citation for the sources and after the citation write a briefparagraph summarizing the article. In addition to the summary also include anevaluation of the text, and areflection on its applicability to your own research.

Step 3:The bibliography should be single-spaced with normal margins.

Note: You should answer the following 3 parts in THREEparagraph for each source! One paragraph for the 1.) summary, one paragraph for the 2.) objective, and the last paragraph 3.) virtues and limitations. Each sources annotations should be about a page in length, so this entire report should be 5 pages long.

also - a paragraph is more than 2-3 sentences (minimum of 5).

  1. Notes and Summary–summarizing the source, including the statement of author’s overall argument if there is one. (answer in a paragraph)

  2. Objective– What are the needs for this research? How does it contribute to your bibliography? (answer in a paragraph)

  3. Virtues– What are the strengths of this source? How will you use it to further your ideas along? Use at least one specific from your source to support your response.
    &

Limitations– What are the weaknesses of this research? (bias, reliability, etc.) How will you account for, or make up for the weakness? (other sources, acknowledge, and ague against, etc.) (answer in a paragraph)

Li, Hongyi, et al. "Applications of genome editing technology in the targeted therapy of human diseases: mechanisms, adv
ances and prospects." Signal transduction and targeted therapy 5.1 (2020): 1-23.
Summary: Genome Editing technologies had made it possible in straightly modifying as well as targeting the sequences of genome in almost all the eukaryotic cells. Genome editing has expanded the capacity to illuminate the benefaction of genetics into disease by highlighting the production of more appropriate cellular as well as animal model in term of the process in pathology and somehow has promoted the remarkable potentiality in variety of fields that includes applied biotechnological researches as well as biomedical researches.
Objectives: Editing genome can be attained in vivo or in vitro by distributing the machinery editing in situ, which typically adds, vaporize and correct genes as well as perform other highly marked as modification of genomes. Nuclease induced with DNA and DSBs (double- stranded breaks) can be thereby repaired by one of the two crucial mechanism that occurs in all kinds of cells and organism (nonhomologous end joining) NEJ as well as HDR (homology directed repair) which results in gene disruptions.
Virtue: Genome editing has multiple advantages such as it helps in cancer therapy by removing the malignant mutations and thereby replacing them with the normal DNA sequences. Cardio vascular diseases conditions can be researched with the help of genome technological editing. Gene technological editing can be therefore used in screening, useful in several gene therapy and constructions of metabolic, hematological, hereditary eye diseases, viral, neurodegenerative diseases models.
Limitations: Despite several benefits’ genome editing has faced several technical challenges in interpreting these treatments into clinal diseases therapy, failed to show proper efficacy as well as undergoes certain delivery hurdles and as a result prove less worthy.
Reflection: The above-mentioned paper can be considered as a valid paper as it has an appropriate aim which underlines the total concept of Genome editing technology accurately and proved fruitful for my research paper.
Moon, Su Bin, Jeong-Heon Ko, and Yong-Sam Kim. "Recent advances in the CRISPR genome editing tool set." Experimental & molecular medicine 51.11 (2019): 1-11.
Summary: Genome editing has taken a dramatic turn in regard with the development of the CRISPR clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat and CAS which is CRISPR associate protein system. It helps to tackle the process of DNA rewriting, which has potential application in diagnostic, biotechnology as well as therapeutics and thereby expresses the technological improvement.
Objective: The author in this paper reviewed the different kinds of CRISPR and describe how they induce both the quantitative as well as the qualitative changes in a gene expression of a eukaryotic cells. It clearly highlights the objectives of development of the approaches to make changes in an organism’s DNA in a...
