Question 2:
With increasing number of covid cases the Sindh government decides to have center in each city
where patience can get vaccine. You are required to store information in database in such a way
that patient get booking for vaccine first then a room is assigned in particular schedule.
The following tables form part of a database schema:
Center (CenterNo, CenterName, city)
Room (roomNo, CenterNo, type)
Patient (PatientID, PatientName, PatientAddress)
Booking (BookingID, PatientID, dateFrom, dateTo, roomNo)
Where Center contains Center details and CenterNo is the primary key;
Room contains room details for each Center and (roomNo, Center No) forms the primary key;
Booking contains details of bookings and (BookingID, PatientID) forms the primary key;
Patient contains Patient details and PatientID is the primary key.
1. Identify the candidate and foreign keys in the schema. Explain how the entity and
referential integrity rules apply to these relations.
2. Create an ER diagram for above schema that represents possible relationships among
entities.
