Evaluate this information and comment on the effectiveness of Twitter on your learning.(1500 words)2. Telehealth Australia Review (1000 words)Summarise the evolution and uptake of telehealth in Australia (use only resources in chronological order from 2015-2021). Provide an informed summary based on current evidence (2020-21).Based on the pandemic related situation in 2020 , what are the key barriers to implementing telehealth fully in Australia? In your informed opinion, how can the barriers be addressed? Provide practical recommendations in your own words. Some reference sources provided as below (Wider research is recommended further).Reference Sources: https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/covid-19-whole-of-population- telehealth-for-patients-general-practice-primary-care-and-other-medical-services –All of Australia telehealth post Covid-19https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert/coronavirus- covid-19-advice-for-the-health-and-disability-sector/providing-health-care-remotely-during-covid-19 - Advice of health and disability services.https://www.dlapiper.com/en/australia/insights/publications/2020/05/telehealth-australia---no-longer-a- remote-possibility/ - Telehealth in remote and rural Australia https://sarrah.org.au/content/telehealth - Services for Australian remote and rural allied health STAT6001_Assessment Brief 1 Page 2 of 7

Will there be examples posted? No, there will be no samples posted. Every assignment submission needs to be original piece of work and cannot also be a submission from any previous subjects or trimesters.2. Is this FAQ a substitute for the assessment brief? No, you must read through the assessment brief and marking criteria to organize your writing. Please read the assessment brief. And then read FAQ to clarify your understanding.3. What is acceptable referencing, format, flow, content? As far as possible, the references must be from 2020 onwards as many changes has occurred in this area (It is still acceptable to use resources from 2015-2021, where relevant). The format is a Report (not an essay or literature review). Part A: STAT6001_Assessment Brief 1 Page 3 of 7
Use Twitter account name and the date (author, date) for in-text citation. For the reference list, provide the account name, date, and the author. In this section, the main resources are the accounts that you followed for past 5 weeks. Hence, it is 2021. And supportive references cannot be older than current information. The trademark of a company and a pronoun is ‘Twitter’. (It is not Tweeter etc).Part B: For this section, as it is specific to telehealth current situation in Australia, resources from 2020 onward must be used due to current updates. Theory reiteration from journal articles (such as - what is telehealth, benefits etc) or similar situation in other countries – are not relevant for this particular section. Efforts in using latest information from relevant sites such as Australasian Institute of Digital health (AIDH) or AMIA and also government sites – would have added significant value, (do not refer back to old resources).General Content Notes: What may be applicable in similar countries (for example in Canada, USA or UK) are quite different in Australia, due to the Privacy Act, the unique nature of the health care system. (Universal Health Care is followed in Australia, and this makes it different to USA, for example. Private health insurance is taken for preferential treatment by some customers, non-citizens/non-residents. And multiple options are available as well. So, please do not generalize the context) Only 32% of the population lives in remote areas of Australia. The roll out of NBN network have been addressing the infrastructure issues in relation to broadband provision in remote areas already. The rest of the population lives in urban areas – but spread out into suburban areas. And these areas also need to be serviced by telehealth as the distance is often a difficulty for many people. There is mandatory training for new health practitioners in telehealth/ICT practices (including doctors, nurses, allied health) and mandatory rural postings for new graduates and new immigrant professionals. This is to particularly service remote areas via telehealth services. Electronic health record for every citizen that links all other services (such as GP, pathology etc); payment for telemedicine and telehealth services to practitioners – came into force in February 2019. Citizens have an option to opt-out of having a universal electronic health record (approx. 10% of the population had opted out. However, this percentage has significantly lowered in 2020 as people have begun opting in due to the pandemic situation and contact tracing is also being implemented). 4. Does number of references increase value of the assignment? No. Relevant citations, to either begin with or support your argument, is required. Quoting or reiterating theory from learning resources will not add any value. One source of information is insufficient, you will need a minimum of 2-3 sources to validate your arguments or thoughts (in support).5. How does chronological order help?As this subject and assignment deals with a very current, rapidly changing scenario, the latest referencing sources are the best sources. For example, a telehealth initiative launched in 2015 may already be completed and being evaluated in 2020. Therefore, citing a reference from 2020, and supporting this by another reference from 2015 or 2016 will not be logical. If you are to use an older reference to begin with, ensure that you end with the latest information.Chronological order of references needs to be followed to build up the review. This is necessary in this context. What may have been identified as a gap in 2015, or 2011, may not be a gap in 2020. So, it is rather redundant to recommend a strategy for future based on 2011 resource, as the solution may already be in place in 2020!6. What content is accepted? In this subject, web based, social media based and other such information – if taken from valid sources, (not from any blogs or news analysis, but from reliable primary sources such as WHO, AIDH etc, or technical journals online or entities, are accepted. It is not really mandatory to use the information from only journals, as this subject is applied, current, evolving as such. While blogs and opinionated articles should be used in moderation only, industry articles, current information from relevant sources are valuable.7. What is critical analysis and how does it apply?Critical analysis in your own words, supported by references is the mandatory requirement. It has to be your own informed opinion or evaluation or criticism – which may disagree or agree with current authors/sources. In either case, you need to also provide a justification to your thoughts – supported by another valid source.Reiterating theory or copying from information on Internet sources is not considered a valid assignment, as these are not exam questions to test your theoretical knowledge. An analysis is required that demonstrates your ability to critically analyze information and form an informed judgement. When you provide recommendations or evaluate a topic – it has to be your own work (not another literature review or opinion from journals etc. It has to be your own, based on review of current literature.8. When will I get results? In the normal course, you will get the results in 15 working days as the assessments will undergo a moderation period. STAT6001_Assessment Brief 1 Page 5 of 7
9. How will I get feedback? You will get the feedback when the assignment results are released via Blackboard only.10. Will there be penalties for late submission?Penalty will be applied as per Higher Education policy, per day late.To review details, please navigate to Assessment 1 Folder on Blackboard and this link:http://www.torrens.edu.au/about/policiesAnd read the Assessment Policy for Higher Education Coursework and ELICOS via this link: http://laureate-au.blackboard.com/bbcswebdav/xid-4650246_111. How about special consideration or extensions? If you are unwell and unable to submit on time, ensure that you inform your lecturer via email to get guidance on obtaining an extension. If you become unwell and is unable to submit on the due date, you are expected to inform your lecturer within 72 hours. The lecturer will then be able to advise you on further steps. The relevant application form can be viewed via this link and it needs to be filled, supported by evidence and sent to lecturers for review. Use PDF for finishing the documentation and sending electronically via email.https://laureate-au.blackboard.com/bbcswebdav/xid-4652143_112. General As MPH students, it is expected that you follow professional writing conventions including checking grammar, spelling, sentence construction, cohesion, having small paragraphs allocated to points of discussion, APA referencing style, in-text citations done in correct format etc. And if you followed these relatively well, the final criteria in the rubric will reflect the mark. Short paragraphs must be used, with only one point for discussion mentioned in the paragraph. Having multiple points in one paragraph is confusing for any reader and mixes up the messages or discussion. Language has to remain professional, neutral of opinion and based on informed knowledge via cited resources.13. Academic Integrity Process: Self-check for academic integrity using the facility on Blackboard and it is the responsibility of the student, before submitting the final report in the allocated submission area. STAT6001_Assessment Brief 1 Page 6 of 7
If you have been found to be in breach of academic integrity, your results would not be released until an outcome is reached after a review. You will be notified of the process, and proceedings in due course. Plagiarism must be avoided, and originality reports must be 0% in paragraphs. Exceptions include titles, repeated words, references, reference lists. Ghost writing practice results in academic integrity breach. Torrens University Australia is aware of and it is strongly advised that such practices are avoided. To understand the concept of academic integrity and plagiarism, workshops are conducted online for every subject at the beginning of the trimesters.STAT6001_Assessment Brief 1 Page 7 of 7
