Introduction
Management functions are the dispensable activities enhancing the efficacy of a business organisation that also executes the role of managing the organisational issues hindering the overall business performance. The current report is an analysis of the case study of the chain of grocery store— Abraham’s Grocery. Abraham’s Grocery had been quite successful so far with the establishment of more than 200 outlets across 4 different regions. The operations of the company is divided into three department per store— groceries, produce and meat, with managers for each department. However, issues started developing, when non-compliance, miscommunication and lack of coordination emerged amongst the three departments, leading to arousal of organisational conflict. Therefore, with this report, the identified issues could be solved by identifying four relevant managerial functions for their business improvement, one managerial approach suitable for the store, ways of improving their managerial efficacy, and finally, providing recommendations for their implementation.

Therefore, it would help to improve the business of Abraham’s Grocery by interacting with their customers about the company products and instruct employees for the same, so that more products can be sold from each department.
· Problem solving: Within an organisation, there can be the emergence of various problems that can be solved only if the management intervenes effectively (Hurst, Rush & White, 2017). In case of Abraham’s Grocery, there was no support system to solve the overall issues of the organisation at management level, because the store manager was not authorised to manage the produce or meat departments (Samson & Daft, 2015). Therefore, although the quality assurance issues could be solved due to this direct line management structure of the organisation; however, the in-store problems remained unresolved. Hence, as per the suggestions of the consultant, if a...
