Studies show that if children took the 1932 IQ test today, half would score above 120 on the 1932 scale. Currently IQ scores have a mean of 100, and a SD of 178 7 Inference 15 and are normally distributed. If today’s American children took the same IQ test used in 1932, the mean score would be 120, instead of 100 as it was in 1932. The net effect is that today’s IQ scores are 20 points higher than in 1932. Any concerns?
