Sex trafficking – Inside the business of modern-day slavery

Introduction
The book, Sex trafficking – Inside the business of modern-day
slavery includes the author trips to global nations to find what is happening in different corners of the world. He wants to understand the alien underworld of prostitution and sex trafficking. The author said that sex trafficking is a crime and include two main elements that are slave trading and slavery. Slave trading shows the supply side of the sex trafficking industry, whereas slavery shows the demand side of this industry. As informed by Middleton et al. (2018), the families are just selling their women’s or children’s to local agents for the sake of meeting their own needs. He came across so many girls who have been involved in this shameful industry since four to five years and cannot escape as no one helps.
Sex trafficking
As mentioned by Siddhart kara (2009), sex trafficking industry includes the torture, rape, enslavement, and murder of thousands of women and children, by indulging them into the practices of forced prostitution and sex slavery. Siddarth Kara never thought that the world would be so crucial. Every second, the women and children in different corners of the world are raped for the motive of profit. The efforts to struggle against these practices remain woefully misdirected and inadequate.
The reasons for this include insufficient media attention, the organizations engaged in sex trafficking stays uncoordinated internationally. The laws against sex trafficking are poorly implemented and follow-ups. No strategies have been built to stop this industry or make human being escape from it. All the gods are meditating for human beings, who are involved in degrading the characteristics such as self- restraint, generosity, truth and gentleness and creating an environment of greed, violence and lust. The cycle of slavery never ended.
India and Nepal
Walking around the streets and interacting with persons, the author said that the planet Earth had lost its youth. He notices that girls having the age of fourteen-fifteen are most common in this industry. The children’s and women’s are suffering. Several had bruises on their hands, burnt marks on legs, suffering from HIV diseases and long scars transecting the foreheads. Their clothes were somewhat clean, but their skin was filthy, and they look shabby and exhausted.
India has a horrible condition, but none suffers more poorly than the daughters of Nepal do. The police over there also visits brothels; takes one hundred rupes bribe per prostitute and large amounts of bail money at the time of raids...
