In this assignment you should describe an interesting or important aspectof each week’s content/experiences, analyse this aspect of the week critically by incorporating and discussingacademic or professional sources, and then discuss your personal learning outcomes.The document structure is as follows (2500 words):1. Introduction
In this report it consists of the reflection about 11-week course on the computer architecture. We studied about the basic terms of the computer architecture and its security. It provides information about the storage devices operating systems system administration, network, virtualization and many other technologies. The automated computation devices able to accept the numeric inputs, perform computation of functions can communicate the results. The list of the capabilities is very gener
al, and it can be implemented with different devices which are implemented with the technologies on the basis of biology, mechanics optics and electronics. Any data processing system should have the ability recognise external data and then convert them into the suitable internal format.
Week 1
In the first week of computer architecture course, we discussed about the development of automated computing. In this week it described about the general capabilities of the computer and describe the computer hardware components and its related functions. The hardware components are able to perform multiple functions and all of them were discussed in this week in detail. It also provides the computer system classes and the different characteristics. It provides detailed information about the distinguishing characteristics of computer systems. We also studied opponents and the network. They describe the role of functions and the layer of the application and system software. The automated computation devices able to accept the numeric inputs, perform computation of functions can communicate the results. The list of the capabilities is very general, and it can be implemented with different devices which are implemented with the technologies on the basis of biology, mechanics optics and electronics. The quantum mechanics can be defined as the behaviour of electronic devices like switches, capacitors or the register's it can be described mathematically and provides a base for the electrical operation. The basic elements of the computer system architecture are hardware software and networks.
Week 2
In the second week of this course, we studied about the numbering system. In this week we did study about the numbering system and their usage in the data representation. The data representation can be easily understood, and it is done using the numbers. We also compared the different data representation methods. This week also summarise the data types of the CPU and explain how the non-numeric data can be represented in the system. It describes the common data structures and the usage. For processing or manipulating the data we need to convert it into the form which can be understood by the processor. Any data processing system should have the ability recognise external data and then convert them into the suitable internal format. It should be able to store and retrieve the data internally. The data can be transported among the internal and external storage and the processing components. It should be able to manipulate the data so that we can produce the desired result. In this week we also studied about the human brain analogy in detail. The data can be represented in different manners. The data types are used to build blocks for creating the more qasida structures like records and arrays. The week present is used to understand the software and hardware technology. CPU is able to read and write from the memory.
Week 3
In the third week we studied about the CPU in detail. We were discussing what the central processing unit is and how it works with the instruction and execution cycle. It explains how the primitive CPS instructions are further combined to create the complex processing operations. Later it described about the key CPU design features which include the world size, clock rate and the instruction format. It also describes the function of special purpose registers and general-purpose registers. The third week also describes about the limitations and principles of the semiconductor-based microprocessors. The central processing unit behaves like the brain of the computer system. It is used to execute the program instructions which include computation, branching and comparison. It is used to direct all the computer system actions which includes processing, input output, storage and the data movement. The control unit, arithmetic logic unit and registers are the component of CPU. Control unit is used to direct the flow of the data to and from the memory. Arithmetic logical unit is used to execute the comparison and computation instructions. The registers are used as the storage location to hold aloo input output and other data. The execution stages of the process are fetched from the memory commitment quote instruction access ALU import, execute instruction and store the output.
