Students are required to do research and engage in a discussion with the class- a great place to test your ideas but please be kind and respectful to the opinions of others. This assignment is intended to hone your skills as a responsible citizen, so that you can make an impact on the sustainability of our world and your local community.
You will be required to provide a post (your own discussion) that appropriately and substantively answers the question prompt in Blackboard. You are also required to provide two replies on the posts of other students.

Your post must be long enough to thoroughly cover the subject:
minimum
two paragraphs, with six to ten sentences each paragraph. The post must include substantive material from the book. Online sources cannot substitute for book material. You may use Online sources to augment your comments, but not to replace book material.
Also, your post must adequately answer the post. Students will lose points for failing to answer the question prompt, or for failing to answer all parts of the question prompt.

The deadline for your post is always due before the deadline for the replies. Please check the syllabus to verify when the posts and replies are due. Students who submit a post after the deadline will not be graded.
The two replies must be
minimum
one paragraph in length each, or about six to ten sentences in length. Replies must be substantive and specific. Saying “good job” or “I agree”, is not enough. Students must put some thought into their replies.

Are you a Core Conservative? A Solid Liberal? Or somewhere in between? Take the Pew Center quiz to find out which one of the nine Political Typology groups is your best match compared with a nationally representative survey of more than 5,000 U.S. adults by Pew Research Center.

After taking the Political Typology Quiz, please discuss your results. Was there anything you found surprising? Also, please share a personal experience that you think helped shape which group you ended up in. When describing your personal experience, please make sure to leave out identifiable information. The goal is to help understand your group placement, not put "someone on notice" or rant. Write about your experience thoughtfully, so other students can learn from your post.

When responding to other students' responses, please learn from their personal experience and provide your feedback. In your feedback be thoughtful and respectful.
