For this activity, you are a shift supervisor in a small food manufacturing plant employing 10 people and you are required to consult with your work group in regards to a WHS issues. ( Within your legislative and regulative requirements and any code of practice). You can either use an issue that you are aware of in your work place or use the below scenario:
Scenario
You have noticed people in work place often do no wear all the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
Complete the following tasks. Make sure that you clearly demonstrate an understanding of your legislative, regulative and code of practice requirements by using this example to meet your organisational requirements.
You need to:

- Consider your issue and the skills of your work group and make recommendations on how you can ensure that they have the appropriate skills and knowledge relevant to this issue.
- Explain
- How you and your workgroup can contribute to making sure work is done in a safe manner
- What can happen if you do not comply with your legislative and regulative requirements
- What are the possible legal consequences if you and your work group do not comply with WHS legislation? Research this clause of the WHS legislation for distribution to your work group.

- Explain the possible consequences if you make WHS decisions outside your expertise. What penalties could be imposed?
- What records should be maintained about this issue?
- To whom should this issue of non-compliance be reported? Ensure you list all appropriate personnel or organisations.
