Step 1: Find a news article from the past five years that talks about water pollution that occurred as a result of nonpoint source pollution. This can be a general, long-term example (like pollution from a leaking tank), or it can be a one-time example (like pollution from a flood). The nonpoint source pollution can have occurred anywhere in the world.
Step 2: Provide a link and proper APA citation for your article.
Step 3: Summarize your article in 1-2 paragraphs, in your own words. Be sure to explain how you know this is a nonpoint source of pollution.
Step 3: Do some research on best management practices (BMPs) and identify at least two BMPs that could have helped prevent (or lessen) the pollution event in your news story. In words, explain what those BMPs are AND why you believe they would have helped to lessen or prevent the pollution.
Step 4: Provide ALL references used for this assignment, in a proper APA format (must be online websites)

***Having trouble figuring out where to start? Try looking for news stories about water pollution that occurred during a flooding event to help you get ideas. A news story that notes several different times a storm has caused water pollution issues is here: https://www.njspotlight.com/2021/06/hurricanes-superfund-sites-pollution-contamination-spread-toxic-communities-of-color/
However, your news story should be about a specific event, not general like the article I have linked.
You must provide specific reasons/explanations for all of your answers to receive full credit. A simple “yes” or “no” will receive little to no credit.
PLEASE PROOFREAD. Remember that grammar, spelling.
